HI, I’M COURTNEY JOY AND
I’M A GRAPHIC DESIGNER.
I currently work for a creative firm in Dallas called Vintage 56. We offer services in graphic design, audio engineering, video production and web development. My role, as the graphic designer, includes branding/logos, business cards, stationeries, brochures, web UI, product packaging and keynote presentations. My objective in all of my design work is to produce designs and interfaces that promote consistency, reliability and aesthetic appeal on behalf of the client, maximizing brand effectiveness.
My passions, however, are not just colored inside the lines of design. I love . . .
- John J. My wonderful husband, my earthly solid rock, the unwavering love of my life and my best friend.
- Reading. I like informational books, however, my preference is novels. Anything that allows me to escape my reality and replenish my creative flow is most ideal. It’s a healthy, much-needed reset for my brain.
- Working out. I love staying healthy and fit. It’s more than just a discipline, it’s a technique I’ve worked into my creative flow, because it is a unique source of energy – my performance and production are greatly affected by the state of my well-being.
- Music. I’m a 10-year flute player and have had the opportunity to perform in some outstanding halls including the Meyerson Symphony Center, home to the Dallas Symphony Orchestra; Carnegie Hall in New York; and the brand new Margot & Bill Winspear Opera House in Dallas.
